Warranty Limitations
- GlossTech guarantees that its coating systems are compatible with vehicles from approved automotive manufacturers, whether new or used, as long as they have the original manufacturer's paint or paint approved by the original manufacturer. The coating systems will not damage the original paintwork.
- GlossTech ensures that the installed coating system will preserve higher levels of surface gloss and hydrophobicity than an uncoated surface as long as the vehicle is maintained and cleaned following GlossTech's guidelines.
- GlossTech provides a warranty for its coating systems (applicable coatings on eligible vehicles) against natural environmental damage, including oxidation and bird droppings, provided that contaminants are cleaned off within 24 hours.
Accident-Induced Damage
In the case of an accident, all GlossTech coating must be thoroughly removed to allow the new paint to adhere properly. An approved GlossTech installer will then need to recoat the repaired area with GlossTech products. The vehicle owner or their insurance provider covers these expenses.
Terms of Coverage
- The warranty is transferable to a new owner, provided the vehicle undergoes inspection and approval by a certified GlossTech installer.
- The warranty is only valid if the coating is applied by an approved installer who is an independent business or individual. This installer has no affiliation with GlossTech or its brand beyond receiving training from GlossTech or its representatives.
- The warranty is only valid if the approved installer has completed all recommended paint correction procedures. Additionally, a yearly maintenance check is highly suggested to maintain the coating's overall appearance and performance.
Exemptions
- Pre-existing damage
- Re-treated areas after a warranty claim
- Mineral deposit-induced water spots
- When the owner is found to be negligent due to inadequate maintenance (not adhering to GlossTech care guidelines) or exposing the vehicle to extreme conditions.
- Damage caused by exposure to harsh chemicals or corrosive substances.
- Normal wear and tear from regular use, including scratches and minor abrasions.
- Damage caused by collisions, acts of force majeure, natural disasters, or any other types of damage not listed in the coverage limitations.
Liability for Claims
Repairs will be carried out at the approved installer's location or at another approved center chosen by the GlossTech review committee.
Warranty Review Committee
The GlossTech Warranty Review Committee will review all warranty claims and transfer requests. This committee is responsible for ensuring that all claims and requests meet the terms and conditions outlined in the warranty agreement.
- The committee will evaluate submitted documentation, including proof of proper maintenance and vehicle inspection reports.
- Decisions made by the committee are final and based on a thorough review of the provided evidence.
- The committee reserves the right to request additional information or conduct further inspections as needed.
- In cases of warranty transfer, the committee will determine if the conditions for transfer have been met.
Implementing this process ensures that all claims and transfers are handled fairly and consistently.
GlossTech Maintenance Guidelines
To ensure the longevity and performance of your GlossTech coating, adhere to the following washing techniques:
Frequency:
- Wash your vehicle at least once a month to maintain the coating's effectiveness and appearance.
Preparation:
- Use a high-quality wash solution, following the manufacturer's instructions for proper dilution.
- Prepare a clean wash bucket with the wash solution.
Washing Process:
- Soak a high GSM (grams per square meter) wash mitt in your wash solution.
- Wash the vehicle in sections, panel by panel, starting from the top and working your way down. This prevents dirt from lower areas from contaminating the wash mitt.
- Repeat on all sections of the vehicle, making sure to rinse the wash mitt between panels in the clean rinse bucket. (Use a separate sacrificial towel for wheels, NOT the wash mitt.)
- After washing each panel, immediately dry it with a GLOSSTECH Drying Towel or a high-quality microfiber drying towel to prevent water spots and streaks.
Drying:
- After each panel is washed, use the GLOSSTECH Drying Towel or a high-quality microfiber drying towel to pat the surface dry.
- Avoid hard scrubbing the surface to prevent potential damage.
Additional Tips:
- Avoid washing your vehicle in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces to prevent premature drying and water spots.
- Regularly clean and maintain your wash mitt and drying towels to ensure they remain free from contaminants.
- Avoid automatic car washes.
By following these steps, you'll help preserve the quality and appearance of your GlossTech coating, ensuring it continues to provide superior protection and a stunning finish.
